The UNIVEN Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubation (UCfERI) is a division within the Directorate of Community Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Innovation and Commercialisation (CEEIIC). Established in 2023, UCfERI provides creative and innovative students, startups and SMMEs with facilities and integrated entrepreneurial development support needed to launch and grow sustainable businesses.

Milestones strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystem
Centre formally established under the Directorate of Community Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Innovation and Commercialisation, aligning with UNIVEN Strategic Thrust 2.
Inaugural advisory board formed with industry leaders including Sedfa representative and board chairperson Mrs. Hwalani Mabaso.
UCfERI officially adopts the Sedfa 18-months service flow model to support students, student enterprises and community entrepreneurs.
Rollout of ISO 22000, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 standards training for SMMEs, enhancing competitiveness.
Full suite operational: legal/admin support, product testing, IP registration, business accreditation, and trade exhibitions.
